On Tuesday evening, June 17, 2026, an isolated thunderstorm in Cherokee County, Kansas, produced a wall cloud and brief funnel. A local spotter tracked the cell and captured photos of the storm. Initially under a Severe Thunderstorm Warning, the cell was later upgraded to a Tornado Warning by National Weather Service in Springfield, Missouri. As the storm tracked into western Missouri, it eventually weakened and dissipated.
