On Tuesday night (9/9) I attended a soccer game with a few of my adult kids. I got to enjoy my grandson trying to do what other kids do on a soccer team, and that is run around for fifty minutes trying to keep the ball away from other players. I believe the intent from each team was to be able to score a goal worth one point. After about fifty minutes of hard fought play, the referee called the game. I personally think he was tired of running. Anyway, the regulation game time was up and neither team had scored a goal. The final score 0-0. I recall back in the day when my kids played soccer parents were reminded by the organization that hosted the league that keeping score was not encouraged. Yeah, right most of the parents kept tabs on the score. While we were there enjoying the game, a bank of clouds could be seen looking north and looking east. This was a line of storms that was training over the same area between Joplin and Springfield. It was generally moving from the northwest to southeast.
